Today we learnt the basics of lighting in 3D using the provided light objects in Maya.
After that we got to play around with the lights on our Cee models.

After lunch we had an industry talk and then got back to the classroom. Oana said we could do some speed modelling, but this time we have to try and unwrap and texture it as well.
I decided to do an old desk with some objects on it like an old book, a quill and ink etc. I thought it would be fun to model something like this.
I plan on finishing the desk model and starting to unwrap it when I get home.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to see a little more clutter on the desk. They usually have those big mats, and often a lamp. Think about a focus point as well, maybe a typewriter or something.
This looks like a cool project to work on when you get some spare time after finishing your other work.
